Parnell Brass in St Andrew's Church.
Here is part of the old brass in St Andrew’s Church under the organ. It had been covered by a heavy wooden chest which has just been moved.
The second image shows the framed picture in the vestry of the complete brass of Robert Parnell and his wife. There is another one showing all his children.
The organ was placed over most of the brass with just the heads of Parnell and his wife showing. One head was damaged long ago. These heads have been covered by the wooden chest for years.
It seems such a shame that people long ago just placed the organ over half the brass. Surely the stone slab could have been moved.
