Work to the Brixworth Road cemetery to convert it to a Pocket Park, sponsored by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The cemetery came into use in 1905 after the main Churchyard was closed for burials in 1903 (no information available on what happened between times). The village wanted to buy the house and land of Threeways and extend the main churchyard to the east, but were over-ruled by the (?four man) Parish Council. The village argued that burials in the Brixworth Road location would affect the drinking water in Backstone Brook, whilst the Parish Council argued that the Threeways site would impact on nearby wells
