1920s.  William (Bill) Tarrant on his road roller.  Bill may have worked for Galleyford or Laings.  He swept all the roads in Spratton and kept his brushes and equipment at 2 Yew Tree Lane where his brother Arthur lived.  He travelled the country working on the roads.

Late 1950s.  Charabanc outing.  The lady in the pale coat in front of the door is Mrs Flavell.  Two to the right of her at the front with glasses is Edith Tarrant and to the right of her is Mary Tarrant.  Straight behind Mary Tarrant is a Mrs Wykes.

1920s? Bert Branson with his bus.

Albert William Henry Branson was the son of Charles James Branson.

Charles James Branson was the son of Libious & Mary Branson.  lived in Toby's Turn, later in Rose Cottage (High Street) then Broomhill Farm, (Living in Spratton Lodge) where he was Farm Manager & Bailiff. Market Garden business of 7 acres just outside Spratton and a Haulage business. Home service in Royal Flying Corps in WW1.  Emigrated to Canada 1929 with wife Florence and children Grace, Richard, Horace, Arthur, Phyllis and Alice.  His son Arthur had emigrated the previous year.
