Hemlines are longer than the 1920s, and the bridesmaid's floral print is typical of the 1930s.
Harold was a Spratton man, his wife came from Ireland, and they lived first in Brixworth Road, and later in High Street. They had three children, John, George & Sylvia. Harold was a bricklayer, and worked with his father in the business of J Eldred & Sons.
Phyllis Branson, daughter of Charles Branson (farm manager at Broomhill), lived at Spratton Lodge with sister Ann and mother Florence (nee Martin, daughter of lacemaker Mrs Ann Martin). Phyllis married Edgar Eldred shortly afterwards and their daughter, Mary, married Dick Spearman
