19/1/1917 -Leslie enlists RFC and RAF 1/4/18-27/2/1919. In 1917, couple living Windy Ridge, 22 Holdenby Road Spratton where Jessie ran a school. Leslie was a prominent businessman and jeweller. Was a mechanic driver in the Forces.
15/6/1918- son James Montague (known as Monty) born Spratton.* He was married to Baroness Jill Knight - Tory MP who is still alive and he died 24/3/1986 and left £89.156 in his will to his wife.
30/4/1920 - Leslie discharged from military service and continues to be a prominent figure in the business world of Northampton.
Jessie ran an acting school/drama club at their home Harpole Hall.
