JOSEPH TIRRELL on the Ploegsteert Memorial in Belgium.
Joseph Tirrell was a groom at one of the big houses and one of the first to join up (according to the Vicar).
He had been quite difficult to research because of the different ways of spelling his name. On our war memorial and Roll of Honour he is spelt TYRRELL, but on the various research websites he is always TIRRELL.
He has no known grave and his name is engraved on one of the panels inside the rather beautiful Ploegsteert memorial.
