Following a very close decision (7to 5) to grant consent, a group of villagers decided to seek a judicial review of the decision. Christopher Cox advised the group on a no-win no-fee basis, but the application was thrown out on the grounds that there was not a case to answer. The planning policy, which the group of villagers had considered to be violated, was judged to have been correctly applied. Although the group did not agree with this, it was felt that there was no chance of success in trying to pursue the matter further
