1938
Florence Horne ('Flo') was born in Spratton and was a well liked character - she was the only child of Sarah and John Horne who lived in one of the two cottages on Brixworth Road, which were later knocked down to create a car park for the Conservative Club. She married George Kelly (who came over from Ireland to help build Hollowell reservoir in the early 30's) in 1938 and the photograph of them was taken outside 26 High Street. They were married at the Church of St.Felix in Northampton. Flo worked for some time for George Cooper, and had five children, Maureen, Michael, Robin, Christine and Denis.
