This shows School Road from the junction with Brixworth Road
1. The Red House, built circa 1905 by Charles Cheney
2. School House, lived in by the headmaster, Mr G Shaw.
Standing back from the road and not shown on the photo is the school itself.
3. White House. An early 17th century building with original 'cruck; beams. Known to have been a beer house from 1891 or earlier when George Thompson Tassell (?) was the beer-seller. In 1910 it was owned by Phipps with William J Roberts running it. Later a Mrs. Dunkley took this on as a beer house, off-licence and shop until 1930 or so. It was known as 'Dunkleys'.
It was then bought by Mr. Jim Blundell, who rented it to George Blundell (uncle of Ron Bell). He moved up to the Holdenby Road and the occupier (Or owner) became Mr. Watts and it ceased as a shop. The house was demolished by order of Brixworth RDC

6. Originally the residential part of the village stores/Post Office, now one of two separate houses
