Manor Road looking towards Home Farm with the Erskine Cottages on the right and Hall Cottages on the left. The building end-on, in front of Home Farm, was once the farmhouse associated with Spratton Hall. This collection of buildings can be seen particularly well on map 2136 from 1886, although the 1900 map still shows them. All these buildings were demolished in the 1940s On the extreme left is The Chequers, acquired by Phipps in the 1920s and closed in 1955. The vehicle is possibly one of Blundell's buses
