1998 - Friends of St. Andrew's Church
This was formed in 1995 to preserve and maintain the fabric of the church and its contents. By 2005, some £50,000 has been raised and used to repair the rainwater system, restore the stonework to the windows, renovate the porch, treat the roof timbers and reglaze the windows. Funds have been raised from a casino evening in 1997, Burns night supper in 2001, two Gilbert & Sullivan evenings, a mediaeval banquet in 2002 and a play, exhibition and flower festival in 2004.
In the photograph. the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, Sir John Lowther, presents a cheque from the Northamptonshire Historic Churches Trust for £3000 to Mrs Enid Jarvis, Chairman of Friends of St. Andrew's Church, for restoration work to the Church.
