Probably 1911
William Rhodes-Moorhouse in his aeroplane, probably on Northampton Racecourse with Lt-Col Edgar Mobbs standing alongside. Mobbs became head of the 7th Northampton battalion in 1916, but was killed at Ypres on 31 July 1917, and awarded the D.S.O. posthumously. On Sunday 17 July 1921 a memorial to Lt-Col Edgar R Mobbs, D.S.O., was unveiled on Northampton Market Square. It was moved in 1938 to the Garden of Rest on Abington Square.
