Vallance Jupp (sitting left) moved to Yew Tree Lane, Spratton when he retired from cricket and opened a sports shop in St. Giles Street in Northampton. He donated equipment and time and energy to getting the Cricket team going again after the War. In the photograph he is part of the MCC touring team for its first test at Johannesburg against South Africa.
